Hello, my name is Smoochie. I am a fourteen year-old male. I originated from the Egyptian Blue. I like to squish my owner's head when she is trying to sleep. I also like hogging all of the attention. I ended up in my owner's household because my old owner got tired of me, and dumped me out their front door. They beat me till I ran and hid in the bushes, but after they had left I sat back in front of their door and waited. After awhile I realized things in my left eye were getting cloudy. Hours later I remember being picked up and shove into a cage and driven to a big scary place with lots of other cats meowing for rescue. Eventually, I discovered that I was waiting to be adopted. Days passed. Nobody even glanced my way. Before I knew it I had been there for a year and a-half. One morning I noticed a big bright sign on the front of my cage. Little did I know, that tomorrow I had a little date with the vet. (I would be put down.) The next day, just before the vet would do her duty, my owner was looking at all of the cats. Somehow I knew that she was the one. I started meowing an making a racket to get her attention. Looking worried, she looked over my way. She then saw me. Her entire face lit up. She walked over to my cage and asked to take me out. Heart-pounding I knew this was my only chance. She smiled and said that's the one. After that I have lived a very happy life.
